Overview
Atrium gives an independent hotel its own booking website and the back office behind it. Guests search by date, see what is available, add extras such as breakfast or an airport transfer, and book and pay directly, so the reservation arrives without an online travel agency's commission.
Staff manage hotels, room types, rooms, date-based prices, length-of-stay rules and closed dates from the same back office, along with orders, invoices, customer accounts and guest reviews. The website runs in several languages and currencies with local tax rules, and one installation can run more than one hotel.
For distribution, Atrium connects to a channel manager. Availability, rates and restrictions go out to the online travel agencies as they change, and bookings made there come back in as reservations. Cancellations release the rooms, changes are flagged for staff to review, and a health panel checks that the channel manager holds the availability and rates Atrium expects.

Questions
- Does Atrium connect directly to each online travel agency?
- No. It connects through a channel manager, which carries availability, rates and restrictions to the channels and returns their bookings to Atrium.
- What happens if a channel sells a room that is no longer free?
- The booking is still imported and flagged as an overbooking, so staff can reassign a room instead of losing the reservation.
- Can we bring our existing data across?
- Yes. Hotels, room types, rooms, service products, customers and bookings can be imported from spreadsheet files.
