Overview
Every Opsian engagement starts with an audit, and an audit can also stand on its own. It is a structured examination of how the operation actually runs: where its data comes from, who makes which decisions, where it fails and what it must be able to explain.
It is built on four questions, none of them about AI. Where does the data originate, and is it reachable in real time or only as an export? What decisions are being made, by whom, on what evidence and how long does each take? Where does the operation fail today, how is failure detected and who absorbs it? What must be reconstructable if a decision is challenged?
The deliverable is a document the organisation owns permanently and is free to take to another builder. Some audits conclude that the right first move is not an AI system, and when that is the finding, the document says so.

- No. The document is yours to keep and free to take to another builder.
- Is an audit only for organisations planning to use AI?
- No. The four questions apply to any operation with data, decisions and an obligation to explain them, and the audit says so if AI is not the right first step.
