Overview
Cella knows the state of every room. Whether a room is occupied, due out, dirty, being cleaned, waiting for inspection, ready or out of order, housekeeping, maintenance and the front desk see the same answer, and it is current rather than written on a sheet at the start of the shift.
Every room moves through one status model, from dirty to clean to inspected to ready. Housekeepers see their assigned rooms on their phone and mark each one done with a tap, supervisors sign off inspections with a checklist and photos, and the front desk sees a room become ready the moment it is.
Across a portfolio, Cella gives operations teams one live view of occupancy, room readiness and open maintenance at every property. It works alongside the property management system already in place and writes room status back to it, so nobody updates two systems.
Capabilities
Room status
Every room follows one status model, from dirty to clean to inspected to ready, including out of order and out of service, visible to every team at once.
Housekeeping
Rooms are assigned by floor, shift and workload, sequenced around departures and arrivals, with a checklist for each room type.
Inspections
Supervisors sign off each room against its checklist, with photos kept as evidence of the condition it was left in.
Maintenance
Issues are raised from the room, routed to the right team and tracked to completion, with preventive work scheduled and unsellable rooms blocked until fixed.
Room assignments
Arriving guests are matched to rooms that are ready and suit their booking, on a room calendar the front desk can adjust.
Portfolio occupancy
Occupancy, readiness and open issues for every property in one view, with daily and end-of-day reports sent to the people who need them.
Exceptions and priority holds
A room held for a VIP arrival or an accessibility need, or anything that falls outside the normal clean-to-ready flow, is flagged for a supervisor instead of being assigned automatically.

Questions
- Do housekeepers need a new device?
- No. Housekeepers see their rooms and update status from the phone they already carry, in a mobile view or through a messaging app.
- Does Cella replace our PMS?
- No. It works alongside the property management system you already run and writes room status back to it.
- Can we see every property in one place?
- Yes. Occupancy, room readiness and open maintenance for every property sit in one portfolio view, with the detail for each room a click away.
- What happens with a VIP arrival or an accessibility request?
- The room is flagged and held instead of being assigned automatically, so a supervisor can check it before the guest arrives.
